Yellow Iris grows in expanding clumps to 3-4‘ tall and to 30" wide. It‘s flowers are bright Yellow to pale Yellow depending on the soil conditions; they measure 3-4 inches across. They bloom in spring to early summer and have long, stiff vibrant green leaves. This Iris grows best in wet soils, typically forming large colonies along streams, ponds and marshes. This hardy plant will also tolerate drier soil and will thrive if kept well watered. The Zone: 4 to 9. The plant grows about 2 to 3 ft tall at maturity with proper care (please check your zone before placing your order). I can not guarantee your plant will bloom this year, however it will bloom once it fully takes to its new environment. Size, flower shade and color density will vary based on soil conditions to which it is planted in.
Depending on the quantity you select, you will receive that amount of plant rhizomes (trimmed leaves and roots), ready to be planted immediately; the plant is trimmed down to allow for shipping and less stress on the plan while in transit. Once planted and watered, they will start to grow before your eyes! The more you water them, the quicker they will grow and prosper. These plants are extremely easy to grow and can grow in extremely wet environments to more dry environments, such as a watered garden. These plants are perfect for around ponds, as they can thrive in lower pH soil. This amazing plant is useful, beautiful, and easy to grow!
